Job Description
Job Title: QA Engineer - Manual and Automation (2 to 5 years experience)
Location: Mumbai (On-site)
Role Summary: The QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring software quality through rigorous manual and automated testing processes. This individual will collaborate with development teams to design testing strategies, identify and resolve defects, and ensure applications meet business requirements while delivering impeccable functionality to the end-users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure the quality of software applications.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring they are resolved promptly.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand business requirements and define testing strategies.
- Conduct regression tests to ensure software updates do not impact existing functionality.
- Provide detailed reports and feedback on product quality and performance metrics.
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in manual and automated software testing.
- Willingness to work on-site in Mumbai.
- Candidate will have hands-on experience of testing Javascript based code base.
- Knowledge of using AI tools for testing
Key Skills:
- Strong understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and quality assurance methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with manual testing and writing detailed test cases and test plans.
- Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Jest, or Appium.
- Basic programming skills in languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation scripting.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira or Bugzilla.
- Knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Working experience of using AI tools
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience with performance testing and load testing tools like JMeter.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- ISTQB certification or similar industry-standard qualification.
- Understanding of DevOps practices or CI/CD pipelines.
